For the third year running, I am choosing a word to mark my year. In 2011, it was "Trust" and in 2012 it was "Joy".
This year my word was chosen from the Bible verse that is floating through my head over these past few days:
"Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain." ~1 Corinthians 15:58
My word for 2013 is:
It means to be "firmly fixed in place" (thanks Miriam-Webster). It's synonyms are: steady, firm, stable, constant, staunch, immovable.
As we go home (soon!) we'll be facing many challenges as we bring stability to our family, getting everyone settled into our new life together. We'll need to buckle our seatbelts and be steadfast in our faith!!
On a side note, I am so glad we moved forward quickly once we were sure God called us to adoption in Nicaragua! What if we were just starting now?
What dream is God calling you to? Start now!!! :) Next year at this time you'll be so glad you did!
