God Sets the Lonely...

I shared before that I had been praying that God would "set the lonely" in MY family. But when he does, it defies reason. Four children who have never met me and I have never met them until 3 short days ago, call me "Mama". They let me help them with their hair, with getting a drink, with finding their daily outfit. They grab my hand when insecure. They seem to know my Spanish language limits and know when I can understand a small word or two and when they need to resort to charades or pointing. They see me taking towels out to the clothes line and I notice one or another of them will pick some up to and join me. They stop their play to run to me with a hug and a "I love you, Mama". In my heart they were already mine as I had prayed and prayed for them and then longed for them... Yet I was still very shocked to find that in their heart I was theirs too.

Even Christian said, "It feels like we have been here a long time and because we seem to all know each other so well." His faith is growing as he sees things happen daily that only God can do. Trust grows.

It defies reason because it is not "man-made". I see these wonderful things outside my power and ability happening around me. I did not do these things. God did. GOD sets the lonely in families...
