Learning to Trust More!

I took this picture of my husband before we left to take him to the bus station for the bus that would take him to the airport. I wanted to document the last time he would be on American soil as a dad of 3! Lord willing, next time he steps on American soil he will be a dad of 7!! And we will praise God with song and dance and shouts of joy!

We are learning to trust God more. There are intense lessons. Every step feels like a step in the dark. But we are trusting Jesus, the Light of the World! We know that Jesus said, "In this world you will have much trouble, but take heart! I have overcome the world!" (John 16:33)

His flights included one crazy road block after another, but he got there safe and sound! His faithful driver from the airport was there to pick him up, though Robin arrived 2 hours late.

There are so many situations we are trusting God for:
~The adoption itself of course! And overcoming potential delays.
~The phone at our rental house isn't working. Robin needs this to work. (The phone just worked, praise God!!)
~Accessing money.
~Provision in general.
~Issues with travel for me and my teens, and when to go.
~The world just doesn't trust men with kids the way they trust women so my husband down there alone isn't ideal but we have to trust God to work it out for R to find favor with man (social workers, case workers, judges...)!

And so much more...I could go on and on...

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. If all your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your path." Prov. 3:5

We've learned to trust God in so many areas. We know the Lord is our shepherd. We know he has all power and sovereignty. The challenge is in finding new areas where we have not walked with him before...and trusting him still. We seek to turn from fear and have faith, to allow his perfect love to drive out fear.

We ask for grace to be patient, grace to praise instead of complain when things don't go our way, grace to bless and not curse those who would hinder us, grace to know and I mean REALLY know that no man has control over us but that God can move any mountain...

TRUST.
