Trippin'...Over Blessings!

There's a box in the middle of the kitchen floor. I try to remember not to trip over it as I walk by. There's bags and boxes in our sunroom where my husband often works. He maneuvers around them as he makes his way to his desk. A year ago I decluttered DEEP and got rid of just about everything that wasn't nailed down. We're not tripping over clutter...

We're tripping over blessings! Since we got home, church family and family family have flooded us with:
Food for the pantry,
Eggs from their chickens,
Meals,
Clothes for the kids,
as well as Shoes and boots and sandals,
Coats, hats, mittens, snow pants, boots,
Towels,
Toys,
blankets,
homeschool curriculum...

I wonder if I am forgetting something here in my list! Once I get one batch sorted and put away, another makes it's way in!! It's quite amazing!! Loved ones have been so helpful and God has used each person in a HUGE way to provide for and bless us!! I cannot imagine what it would have cost to provide all of this on our own!! I can tell you my bank account could not have handled it!

God is faithful to provide and most often it is through HIS PEOPLE! There are so many around us, some who have or are adopting and some who have not adopted, who care deeply for caring for children who have been orphaned.

I believed God promised us that if we would follow HIS heart to where He called us and do what He asked us to do that He would provide. It's cool to be flooded with that promise fulfilled with what we need and other gifts solely for enjoyment!

There have been gifts of money, some we will need to pay back and some we won't. God is faithful in that too and I believe He will continue to provide in that area as well!!

There have been so many people praying for us and every one is a blessing to us! There are many people praying for us that I have not ever met in person and that just amazes me!

Once in awhile I stub my toe good on a box...and remember again how blessed we are!!

“Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen:
to loose the chains of injustice
and untie the cords of the yoke,
to set the oppressed free
and break every yoke?
Is it not to share your food with the hungry
and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—
when you see the naked, to clothe them,
and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?
Then your light will break forth like the dawn,
and your healing will quickly appear;
then your righteousness will go before you,
and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.
Then you will call, and the Lord will answer;
you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.

“If you do away with the yoke of oppression,
with the pointing finger and malicious talk,
and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry
and satisfy the needs of the oppressed,
then your light will rise in the darkness,
and your night will become like the noonday.
The Lord will guide you always;
he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land
and will strengthen your frame.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
like a spring whose waters never fail.
Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins
and will raise up the age-old foundations;
you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls,
Restorer of Streets with Dwellings."

~Isaiah 58:6-12
